D365 Business Central Project Manager (Freelance) – Manufacturing Sector

Our client, is a leading manufacturing company based in Belgium, is seeking an experienced D365 Business Central (BC) Project Manager to lead a full-cycle implementation and optimisation programme. This 18‑month freelance engagement requires strong functional expertise, hands-on project leadership, and excellent communication skills across business and technical stakeholders.
You will oversee the entire project lifecycle—from initial scoping and design, through build, testing, deployment, and post–go-live support—ensuring the solution aligns with manufacturing and supply chain business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end D365 Business Central implementation projects, including planning, execution, delivery, and hyper-care.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
- Conduct requirement-gathering workshops and translate business needs into functional specifications.
- Oversee configuration, customisation, and integration tasks for Business Central.
- Manage project governance, timelines, budgets, risks, and reporting.
- Coordinate data migration activities and ensure data quality.
- Support user training, UAT cycles, and change management initiatives.
- Provide leadership during go‑live and post‑go‑live support phases.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- Deep functional understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV, including:
- Finance
- Supply Chain / Inventory
- Manufacturing / Production
- Proven experience leading full-cycle D365 BC or NAV projects, ideally within manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft stack, including:
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
- Azure services
- SharePoint Online
