Supply Chain and Project Manager

Your Mission As Supply Chain Manager, you coordinate all Logistics activities in the plant and have full responsibility for the department. Together with the plant’s management team, you play a key role in maximizing performance and efficiency including optimizing processes, cost structures, and staff planning next to reaching our customers’ needs. You ensure proper communication with your interfaces in the production department and foster knowledge sharing and the empowerment of your staff. Location: MCSyncro NV in Gent (Skaldenstraat 121, 9042 Desteldonk). Your Responsibilities Part I: Logistics Coordination of all external and internal logistics movements for delivering finished in a JIS environment as well as in a JIT environment. Responsible for calling off components and consumables at our suppliers and creating the inbound planning; communicating changes internally and externally when necessary. Coordinating the flows from and to the external warehouse according to production planning and customer requirements. Organization and management of the inventory and stock, including cycle counting. Acting as interface/facilitator for solving operational and logistics-related topics shared with the customer and supplier. Forecast planning as well as managing additional customer orders. Ensuring correct invoicing to the customer and controlling the accuracy of in and outbound alignment. Supervising the ERP and taking leadership when business process changes are necessary. Building and maintaining business relationships with customers and suppliers. Part II: Process Optimization You lead process improvements and gap analysis activities. You analyze logistic costs, development, and realization of activities to improve cost structures and performance. Implementation of a regular reporting system to the customer, the plant management, and the group. Installation of a shop floor-management system to implement regular communication and change management. Part III: Staff You supervise your Logistics team You follow up & check the hours performed and monitor overtime. You draft & edit the holiday planning of personnel. You execute the yearly assessment interviews with your team. Part IV: Continuous Improvement You develop a continuous improvement mindset by applying the associated methods. You ensure regular communication in the plant during organized daily/weekly/monthly meetings. You create and share Best Practices to benchmark within the group. Your Profile You have a Master's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, or similar through education or experience. You have experience of 3-5 years in a management role and in a Logistics environment. You have a track record of improving logistics flows and processes. You have an affinity towards IT technology and the digitalization of logistics processes. You have a continuous improvement mindset. You have excellent communication and teamwork skills. You are customer-focused & result-oriented. You are fluent in the local language, Dutch, and English. Experience in automotive is a plus.
