ppNTT DATA is actively looking for a Network Security engineer for one of its partners in Brussels. This freelance position is hybrid (3 days a week). /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign and implementation of network security measures. /li liDevelop and deploy security strategies to protect networks against cyber attacks and unauthorized access. /li liSet up and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and other security features. /li liContinuously monitor networks to detect and respond to security incidents. /li liConduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. /li liDiagnose and solve network security problems. /li liProvide advanced technical support and collaborate with other teams to resolve incidents. /li /ul h3Key Competencies /h3 ul liEffective communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way for non‑technicians. /li liProblem‑solving: Ability to quickly analyze and resolve network security issues. /li liLeadership: Ability to lead and coach teams, sharing knowledge and training junior members. /li liAdaptability: Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and rapid changes in the field of IT security. /li liTime Management: Competence in managing multiple tasks and projects, respecting deadlines and priorities. /li liRapid Learning: Quickly assimilate existing applications and processes, adapt to new environments and technologies. /li liCollaboration and Teamwork: Working collaboratively with various teams, including Business, Development, and Support. /li liResults Orientation: Focused on achieving results, with a strong motivation to lead projects to their completion. /li liAttention to Detail: Close attention to detail when analyzing requirements, developing, testing, and documenting. /li liStress Management: Manage stress effectively and remain flexible in the face of unforeseen changes and challenges. /li liCapacity for Autonomy: Work independently while reporting to the domain manager. /li liSensitivity to New Technologies: Be curious and open to new technologies and developments in the sector. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 pNetwork Management and Routing: Understanding of network management fundamentals, including configuring and managing routers and switches. Knowledge of routing protocols (dynamic, static, inter‑domain), Express Route, ISP connections, WiFi, DNS, TACACS. /p pNetwork Security: Expertise in setting up and managing firewalls, VPN solutions, proxies (forward and reverse), and load balancers. /p pCloud Security and Secure Access: Understanding of securing cloud environments, protecting data in transit and at rest, securing access. Mastery of ZTNA concepts. /p pSecurity Incident Management: Ability to detect and respond to security incidents, analyze threats, and respond to vulnerabilities. /p pAutomation and Scripting: Skills in automating network tasks to improve operational efficiency, using common scripting languages. /p pKnowledge of Operating Systems: Familiarity with operating systems used in network environments. /p pSecurity Standards and Protocols: Knowledge of network security standards and cryptography protocols to secure communications. /p h3Tools Technologies /h3 pActive Directory, Algosec, Ansible, Express Route, Firewalls, IP Routing, Load Balancing, MPLS, Netskope, Proxy, Scripting, Switching, Syslog, VPN IPSEC, VPN SSL, WAF. /p h3Languages /h3 pFrench, Dutch, and English. /p h3Company Information /h3 pNTT DATA - a part of NTT Group - is a trusted global innovator of IT and business services headquartered in Tokyo.
