Mechanical Construction Project Manager – Industrial Boilers

Location: Ans (Liège) with projects throughout Belgium

Employment: Fulltime, agency contract

Are you a driven project manager with expertise in industrial boilers and mechanical construction? Arcadis DPS Group is looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects in the waste-to-energy sector. You will coordinate, organize, and communicate across the full project lifecycle, ensuring seamless execution and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Bid & Project Preparation

• Develop and implement bid strategies, cost estimations, and procurement plans
• Define project baselines, technical solutions, and optimal work sequences
• Negotiate contracts with clients and major suppliers
• Identify and manage project risks and opportunities
• Ensure a smooth transition from bid to project execution, capturing and applying lessons learned

Project Management

• Lead and manage site teams (foremen, welders, pipe fitters)
• Prepare and execute project and safety plans, WBS, scheduling, and budgeting
• Oversee site setup and logistics; contract and coordinate subcontractors
• Monitor planning, progress, and critical paths, ensuring efficiency and transparency
• Ensure compliance with HSE plans (work permits, toolbox talks, risk analysis)
• Manage quality control, contractual obligations, variation orders, and reporting
• Lead project review meetings and close-out, including documentation and lessons learned

Operational Improvement

• Support operational efficiency in invoicing, compliance, subcontractor management, worker evaluation, and documentation
• Contribute to exploring new approaches and best practices for the Boiler Solutions unit

Your Profile

• Proven experience in mechanical high-pressure (boiler) construction projects
• Strong knowledge of EN/ASME standards, WPS, QC files, TIG/electrode welding, and EN 12952
• Track record in project and bid management, quality control, and contractual compliance
• Fluent in French; good command of English and/or Dutch is a plus
• Organized, proactive team player with excellent communication skills
