Position: Medior Freelance Automation Engineer Location: Ghent, Onsite We are currently looking for a Medior Freelance Automation Engineer to join a project team dedicated to managing alarms, implementing changes, and providing onsite support. This role will primarily involve technical execution in a GMP-regulated environment , with a preference for candidates experienced in highly regulated sectors such as pharmaceuticals, automotive, or manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement control strategies for industrial processes, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards. Troubleshoot and optimize existing automation systems to enhance performance and reliability. Develop and review technical documentation, such as control system architecture, wiring diagrams, HMI designs, and testing protocols. Ideal Profile: Educational background in Electrical Engineering , Automation , Mechatronics , or related fields. Strong knowledge of Siemens software, including TIA Portal , PCS7, WinCC , and Step7. Proficient in PLC programming , SCADA systems , and industrial communication protocols. Experience with EMS/BMS (Environmental Monitoring Systems/Building Management Systems), HVAC systems , or in the pharmaceutical industry is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders.
