Cloud & DevOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us manage the infrastructure for a banking application hosted on IBM Cloud and deployed with OpenShift and Terraform. The application must comply with IBM Financial services certification, which is based on NIST 800-53 Rev 4 requirements, so security, automation, and compliance are key aspects of the role.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on IBM Cloud using Terraform and Helm charts.

• Administer and Support OpenShift clusters, ensuring scalability, security, high availability, and cost efficiency.

• Implement and Enforce security best practices to comply with IBM Financial Services certification, financial regulations and customer compliance requirements.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure and applications using tools such as Dynatrace.

• Automate deployment and configuration processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.

• Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure best practices are followed in cloud deployments.

• Contribute to incident management and resolution, ensuring high availability and performance of our solution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) and their core services

• Proven experience deploying and managing production with OpenShift or Kubernetes and its ecosystem.

• Expertise in Terraform including module development, state management, and infrastructure testing

• Track record designing and enforcing security controls

• Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, scripting, etc.).

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic cloud environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in a regulated financial environment.

• Familiarity with IBM Cloud, Security & Compliance tools.

• Experience with policy as code tools (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, ..)

• Familiarity with container security scanning tools

• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Grafana, DataDog, Elastic, ..

• Knowledge of SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools.
