This person will be part of a team that has ownership of all things network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to name a few. This individual will own the challenges of today as well as the vision of tomorrow, including scalability, security, automation, and self-service.What You'll Do:Design, implement, secure, and maintain Bandwidth's global IP networkDeploy and manage service provider-grade routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNsDeploy and manage circuits and cross-connects between vendors, customers, and peersProvide other teams within Bandwidth guidance and advice as it relates to the networkBuild and evaluate automation and self-service strategies for the networkWhat You Need:At least five years of hands-on experience working with service provider-grade network equipment and technologies such as: Cisco ASR routersCisco Nexus switchesCisco ASA firewalls and VPNsCisco ACIJuniper MX routersJuniper SRX firewalls and VPNsPalo Alto firewalls

Expert-level knowledge and understanding of the IPv4 protocolExpert-level knowledge and understanding of BGPStrong understanding of MPLS, VxLAN, OSPF, and Spanning-treeDeep understanding of several network domains, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs, to name a fewExpert-level knowledge and understanding of at least one popular network vendor, including but not limited to Cisco, Palo Alto, and JuniperExcellent self-motivation and team collaboration skillsFluency in English, spoken and writtenBonus Points:Scripting or programming proficiencyGeneral understanding of HTTP, DNS, GRE, IPSEC, and load balancingVoIP knowledge, such as SIP and RTP protocolsLinux systems administration (Debian/Ubuntu preferred)The Whole Person Promise: At Bandwidth, we're pretty proud of our corporate culture, which is rooted in our "Whole Person Promise."
