About the role
Our client, a large international organization, is embarking on an ambitious transformation of their data landscape. We are looking for an experienced Data Strategist to take a leading role in the rollout of a Data Mesh architecture.
This is not a theoretical position. You will roll up your sleeves, analyze the current situation, and co-build a concrete roadmap that gets executed.
What will you do?
- Map the current data landscape: analyze existing tooling, systems and reporting
- Define improvements, optimizations and structural changes
- Co-develop the data roadmap and guide its execution
- Monitor milestones, budget and planning from a project management perspective
- Redefine the existing data governance model where it currently falls short
- Bring stakeholders along in the transition towards a mature data organization
Your profile
You are a well-rounded data professional — not a specialist in every domain, but someone who understands the architectural big picture and can bring others along in the vision.
You recognize yourself in one of these two backgrounds:
- Technical profile that has grown from data modelling towards a strategic level
- Data governance profile with a strong interest in architecture and transformation
- Fluent in French and English
You also bring:
- Broad experience within the data domain (modelling, governance, architecture)
- Familiarity with or knowledge of Data Mesh principles
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A structured, project-driven approach with an eye for budget and timing
- Experience in an international environment is a plus
What can you expect?
- A strategic role with real impact on a large-scale transformation project
- An international context with complex data challenges
- A competitive package, negotiable based on experience
