Your Mission

Reporting to the Global Head of Retail Experience, the Training Manager Travel Retail (TR) & Local Market (Europe) oversees maximising retail sales in assigned TR doors and local markets to grow market share, rankings and productivity & is in charge of organising and leading strategic training sessions adapted to the country, the environment of the POS and the audience.

Your Impact

BUSINESS STRATEGY:

  • Adapt and deliver training programs and tools to support core products and new product launches, driving key business objectives, marketing initiatives, and strategic business needs.
  • Define and adapt the training strategy per POS/Markets to reach collective and individual targets
  • Drive and monitor training activity by company-defined KPIs
  • Strengthen the AMOUAGE partnership with our distribution channel and partners.
  • Interface with key retailers on their specific education guidelines assist in action plan development.
  • Monitor and report monthly training activities to the management and communicate competition’s marketing activity

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:

  • Lead, coach & motivate Beauty Consultants by communicating sales objectives and follow-up on their achievement
  • Develop the skills and capabilities of Beauty Consultants through performance process review
  • Ensure optimum ROI at all times in line with budgets & business needs
  • Conduct regular field visits and ensure the development of BCs and markets through regular coaching and appraisals

OPERATIONS:

  • Be the training referent for the Beauty Consultants and Distributors on the operations of the POS and ensure operational excellence
  • Identify, consolidate & report operational needs or issues on POS (VM, POSM, IT, stock, tools etc) and facilitate their resolution if needed
  • Coordinate with the Area Manager to ensure performance at the doors.

RETAILERS :

  • Create strong relationship with business partners to ensure collaboration on data sharing, team management and goal alignment
  • Identify opportunities for extra space and/or visibility in the store and share them with management for them to negotiate with retailers.
  • Acculturate retailers to Amouage values, vision and ambition

TRAINING & COACHING

  • Understand and adapt the training to the work environment: size of the airport/market, kind of customers, products sold on the POS…
  • Develop the generic staff population in key airports
  • Conduct training sessions and Fragrance Atelier within strategic European markets with the support of our local business partners.
  • Ensure that grooming standards, sales technics and product knowledge are well respected throughout the region

Your Expertise

SKILLS & ATTITUDE

  • Strong business acumen: passion for retail and transmission
  • Strong management background: ability to motivate people with the same objectives with enthusiasm and leadership
  • Service-oriented: ability to see every detail and always think about improvements
  • Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate well with the shop salesforce. Ability to lead trainings
  • Good negotiation skills: ability to convince peers and a variety of stakeholders
  • Team Player: ability to share ideas and successes and build effective teams

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in Training & retail management with supervision responsibilities
  • Interest for the luxury industry and the travel retail business
  • Fluent English + another language would be highly adventageous (French, Spanish, Italian)

The position is based in Brussels, Belgium. Several travels per month are expected.
