SAP Functional Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Senior Functional analyst to participate in the migration of the client on-premises Data warehouses (SAP Data Services / SQL Server) to the new platform (cloud-based; Databricks/python). The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and hands-on experience with data migration projects of a similar nature.

Key responsibilities:

▪ Lead the end-to-end migration process of one or more Data warehouses (databases & pipelines) from SAP Data Services and SQL Server to Databricks.

▪ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure that the new solution (in the form of data product) meets these needs.

▪ Perform data mapping, data validation, and data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the migrated data.

▪ Provide technical guidance to the data engineers participating in the migration

▪ Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues that arise during the migration.

▪ Making sure that all documentation (technical analysis, test cases, non-functional requirements) is available during the end-to-end migration process

▪ Reporting and planning on the migration project status

Deliverables

▪ Software requirements specifications (made by yourself and team members), data model, data flow, documentation and manuals, test plan and test cases.

▪ Documented best practices and common data requirements

▪ Project status reports for the migration initiative

▪ End-to-end data product delivery by yourself and data engineers working for you or other team members (technical analysis, test plan)

Requirements

▪Minimum 5 years of proven experience in data warehouse migration projects, specifically with SAP Data Services, SQL Server and Databricks.

▪ Strong knowledge of ETL processes and data integration techniques.

▪ Strong knowledge with Python

▪ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

▪ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

▪ Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

▪ Project management skills are a plus, but this is not the main responsibility

▪Fluent in French or Dutch
