Functional Analyst (“New Phygital Product”)

afarax is looking for a freelance Functional Analyst – “New Phygital Product”. We need you!

The project:

Our client in the insurance sector is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst to support the development and launch of a new phygital product.

You will act as the bridge between Business and IT, translating needs into clear, actionable solutions while ensuring alignment with both technical constraints and business goals.

Main activities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications and technical guidelines.
• Create clear flows such as Customer Journeys and UML diagrams to illustrate processes.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration between front-end technologies and back-end systems.
• Work with Guidewire solutions for Dutch insurance products.
• Ensure smooth communication and collaboration between Business and IT stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery.

Is this you?

• Strong experience as a Functional Analyst in complex projects.
• Proven experience with Dutch insurance products.
• Solid knowledge of Guidewire and front-end technologies.
• Skilled in creating Customer Journeys and UML diagrams.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with both Business and IT, speaking their language.
• Fluent in three languages (English, French, Dutch).
