Job Title: Solutions Architect

Duration: Initial contract until 31-Dec

Location: Asse, Belgium (Hybrid)

Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)

We are seeking a versatile Solution Architect to support diverse projects in a hybrid model (minimum two days/week on-site in Asse, with Friday fixed). As a cross-functional SA, you will collaborate with development, operations and business teams to translate requirements into pragmatic technical approaches. While deep expertise in a single technology is not mandatory, you should demonstrate familiarity with modern tech stacks and an eagerness to learn and adapt.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in Agile ceremonies to gather requirements and define solution scope.
• Support architecture design for cloud-native and on-premise integrations (e.g., microservices, RESTful APIs, middleware).
• Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD initiatives (e.g., pipeline automation, containerisation with Docker/Kubernetes).
• Liaise with stakeholders to ensure alignment on non-functional requirements (scalability, security, performance).
• Assist in tooling evaluations (e.g., cloud platforms like AWS/Azure/GCP, integration platforms).
• Provide technical guidance and documentation to development teams, fostering best practices.

Essential Skills & Languages

• Strong communication in English (mandatory); proficiency in French or Dutch (one required).
• Broad understanding of software development lifecycle, cloud concepts, integration patterns.
• Ability to rapidly assimilate new technologies and contribute across multiple stacks.
