Setup: Freelance (Daily rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader)

Location: Brussels

We’re seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to support and evolve the application platforms used by our client’s development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and manage changes to application platforms (Windows Server, AKS).
• Maintain platform software components and document support procedures.
• Collaborate with developers and architects to support solution design and deployment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and propose platform improvements.
• Coach team members and participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation.

Must-Have Skills:

• 4+ years managing cloud-native workloads in corporate environments.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and tools like Istio, Keda, Harbor.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps).
• Experience managing public cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Ability to follow conversations in Dutch & French, fluent in English.

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with technologies such as Hashicorp Consul, ArgoCD, Helm, Grafana, Citrix ADC, RabbitMQ, Azure ServiceBus, Chocolatey, Inedo Proget.
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Powershell DSC.
• Passion for cloud-native technologies and regulated environments.
