The Construction Supervisor is directed by the discipline engineers (Civil, Utilities Piping, HVAC) and the Construction Manager.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Responsible for the daily follow-up and practical organization of the construction site.
Evaluates project progress daily with the project leader.
Identifies potential planning conflicts during execution and helps resolve them (in consultation with the project team).
Ensures that the necessary work permits are prepared and released (in collaboration with the contractor).
Performs the required task risk analyses with contractors as part of the work permit process.
Organizes regular site coordination meetings with the Safety Supervisor and the team leaders of all present (sub)contractors and project engineers, according to an agreed frequency.
Works with the Safety Supervisor to monitor and address unsafe situations, and also actively identifies and resolves safety risks on his own.
Participates in the daily safety briefing.
Guides contractors on their first day at the worksite.
Provides input to constructability plans and reviews.
Keeps the Safety Supervisor informed of upcoming activities and any potential schedule changes.
In case of incidents or injuries on-site, investigates the situation with the project team, defines, and implements necessary corrective actions.
Responsible for collecting completed work permits. (Contractors submit them to the supervisor daily at the end of the workday.)
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The project involves an outdoor site in the civil construction phase, not yet watertight or airtight; includes equipment installation, utilities and HVAC system installation, with some exposure to automation.
Experience in the pharmaceutical sector is a plus. Experience in a similar industry with a strong safety mindset is required.
