Job Function:
As SOC Manager, you will be responsible for managing the Security Operations Center (SOC) and safeguarding the IT security of a complex and hybrid IT environment. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coaching a team of internal and external security engineers and analysts.
- Ensuring the day-to-day operations of the SOC, including incident response, monitoring, and reporting.
- Designing, implementing, and continuously improving operational security processes.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for security incidents and coordinating threat response efforts.
- Actively contributing to the further development of the SOC in terms of processes and tooling.
- Collaborating with other IT departments (infrastructure, networks, applications) and external partners.
- Reporting to the CISO and contributing to the organization’s strategic security roadmap.
Job Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on professional with a passion for cybersecurity and strong leadership skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in IT Security, ideally with 2+ years in a managerial role within a SOC or similar environment.
- Solid knowledge of SIEM systems, incident response, threat intelligence, and security monitoring.
- Proven experience in managing projects and optimizing operational processes.
- A true team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- You have a helicopter view and enjoy taking ownership of critical processes.
- Fluent in either Dutch or French with a good understanding of the other national language. English is considered an asset.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or SANS are a strong plus.
