We are partnering with leading food and beverage manufacturing organisations across Belgium seeking Senior Freelance Quality Consultants to support critical compliance, food safety, and operational excellence projects.

This opportunity is strictly for experienced freelance professionals who can operate autonomously in regulated production environments and deliver immediate impact.

🔎 The Role

You will support high-impact quality and food safety initiatives within HACCP- and FSSC/BRC/IFS-regulated manufacturing sites, acting as a senior quality representative across production and compliance functions.

Scope may include:

Food Safety & Compliance

• HACCP plan implementation and optimisation
• Managing non-conformities, deviations, and root cause investigations
• Leading internal and external audit preparation (FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS)
• Ensuring compliance with Belgian and EU food safety regulations
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives

Quality Assurance & Operations Support

• QA oversight of production processes
• SOP review and optimisation
• CAPA and change control management
• Supplier quality coordination
• Acting as quality lead for cross-functional teams

✅ Profile Required

• Senior-level experience in Quality within the food and beverage manufacturing sector
• Strong working knowledge of HACCP and recognised food safety standards (FSSC, BRC, IFS)
• Proven freelance/contracting experience (mandatory)
• Ability to integrate quickly and work independently
• Fluent English (Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage)
• Active freelance status (self-employed or via consultancy structure)
