A leading Asian investment management firm is seeking a VP / AVP level professional to join its regional distribution team in Hong Kong. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding relationships with institutional and intermediary clients across Europe & Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main contact for European institutional and Hong Kong based clients, delivering exceptional service and strengthening long-term partnerships.
Drive business growth by promoting both SICAV mutual funds and ETFs, with an emphasis on cross-selling opportunities and product synergy.
Generate and execute business strategies across targeted client segments, including banks, private wealth managers, brokers, financial advisers, and family offices.
Lead the client onboarding process, coordinating with compliance, operations, and marketing to implement distribution agreements and related arrangements.
Represent the firm in client meetings and roadshows, confidently discussing fund performance, investment outlooks, and commercial discussions in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
Work closely with internal teams to deliver timely and tailored client reporting, RFP responses, and due diligence materials.
Ensure full compliance with AML, KYC, and DDQ standards while maintaining data accuracy within Salesforce and internal systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
8–10+ years of experience in asset management sales, distribution, or client servicing.
Demonstrated success in selling both ETFs and mutual fund (SICAV) strategies to institutional and intermediary clients.
Strong relationship management skills combined with a consultative, commercially focused approach.
Proven track record of achieving sales goals in a regional or international context.
Fluency in English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
Flexible to consider candidates currently at the AVP or VP level, depending on experience and capability.
