Solution Architect (Java)

Position: Java Solution Architect

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Brussels, Belgium

Roles and Responsibilities.

* Create solution architecture designs highlighting options, to guide the squads

* Ensure alignment with the high-level architecture and/or reference architecture and/or applicable standards

* Is responsible for the refinement in a detailed design with sufficient granularity for the development team to implement

* Work under guidance of the domain and enterprise architects

* Collaborate with and guide engineers in the squads in the domain to implement the approved solution architecture

* Passionate about technology, having a strong interest and vision in recent trends in software development and technology in general and the ability to transfer this knowledge back to team

* Analytical (understanding complexity and think from the impact point of view not just solving the problem directly)

* Having a focus on quality and challenge your colleagues to grow – coding standards and peer code review

* Able to speak up and challenge decisions (you ask why things are done instead of just doing them)

* Having a collaborative workstyle with focus on achieving goals by helping others to be successful

* Working on continuous improvements on business applications and infrastructure as well as on monitoring & alerting in the REST API’s Ecosystem

* Knowledgeable on Build & deployment processes (Azure DevOps)

* Excellent communication skills, can communicate in both business and technical language

* Able to Mentoring/guiding more junior engineers
