Job Description

What does it feel like to be a Senior Solution Architect in Netcompany?

As a Senior Solution Architect you will:

• Design, develop, and govern high-level infrastructure and cloud architectures aligned with the Council’s strategic IT roadmap and enterprise architecture standards.
• Lead the definition and implementation of cloud adoption strategies (public, private, and hybrid), including workload migration, cloud-native solutions, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and technical teams to translate business requirements into secure and scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Ensure all infrastructure and cloud solutions adhere to EU security policies, GDPR requirements, and internal data protection standards.
• Review and validate infrastructure-related technical designs, project deliverables, and procurement documentation. Provide guidance throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Liaise with internal teams, external suppliers, and EU institutional partners to ensure architectural consistency and integration across platforms and services.
• Stay abreast of emerging infrastructure and cloud technologies, recommend innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement and cost optimization.

Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Master's Degree in Computer Engineering or a relevant field
• At least 8 years of professional experience in a solution architecture role focused on infrastructure and cloud services.
• Hands-on-experience with the following technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Very good knowledge of: Linux, CI/CD Pipelines, GitHub, Jenkins, Git, AWS/Azure.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies would be considered as a advantage
• Working experience with Python, Go, Java Spring boot, .NET Core would be a plus
• Excellent knowledge of English
