Chief Medical Officer & Partner (Part-Time)

We are seeking a visionary and entrepreneurial Dermatologist to step into the role of Chief Medical Officer & Partner. This individual will be the cornerstone of the company's clinical and medical strategy, providing the expert guidance necessary to navigate clinical trials, completeregulatory milestones, and drive a successful market entry, with an initial focus on Germany and Spain. This part-time role is designed for a leader who is motivated by impact and long-term value creation, offering a substantial equity stake in exchange for strategic leadership and hands-on contribution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical & Medical Strategy Leadership
- Develop, oversee, and execute the company's comprehensive preclinical and clinical development plan, including research projects with renowned centers such as the Pompeu Fabra University and its dedicated lab for dermatology projects.
- Serve as the ultimate medical authority within the company, providing critical input on product development, business strategy, and regulatory affairs (MDR).
2. Clinical Trial Execution
- Lead the design, planning, and execution of pivotal clinical trials across Europe.
- Manage relationships with Contract Research Organizations (CROs), clinical sites, and well-known principal investigators in dermatology and trichology to ensure trials are conducted on time and to the highest standards.
3. Market Development & KOL Engagement (Germany Focus)
- Leverage your expertise and network to build and cultivate strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), dermatology clinics, and medical associations across Europe, particularly in Germany.
- Act as the company's primary scientific ambassador, effectively communicating the technology's value proposition to the medical community and supporting commercial activities.
- Coordinate the Scientific Committee, expanding it with additional experts across Europe.
4. Scientific Communication & Publication
- Represent the company at major international dermatology conferences and scientific forums.
- Drive the publication strategy, ensuring that clinical data and scientific findings are disseminated in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Medical Doctor (MD) with a board certification or specialization in Dermatology.
- Demonstrable experience in a leadership role within medical affairs, clinical development, or as a Principal Investigator for clinical trials, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Fluency in both German and English is mandatory.
- Deep understanding of and an established professional network within the German healthcare system and dermatology community.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, resource-constrained startup environment.
- A strategic thinker who is equally comfortable with hands-on execution and is driven by a passion for innovation and patient outcomes.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and a thorough understanding of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) is highly desirable.
