Your role

As an Automation Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial automation systems with a focus on data integration and analytics, particularly in GMP-regulated environments.

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Designing and implementing PLC/SCADA systems and industrial networks (Modbus, Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet/IP) for manufacturing clients in pharmaceutical and other regulated industries.
  • Developing GMP-compliant automation solutions including programming, validation, and documentation that meet strict regulatory requirements.
  • Creating and optimizing data historian systems (WinCC, Ignition, OSIsoft PI) to enable data-driven decision making and process improvement.
  • Implementing Industrial IoT architectures using OPC UA, MQTT, and edge computing technologies to connect shop floor systems with enterprise applications.
  • Supporting FAT/SAT execution, validation activities, and troubleshooting for complex automation projects.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and IT to deliver integrated automation solutions.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Automation, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial automation with focus on data systems in regulated environments.
  • Strong expertise in PLC programming (preferably Siemens TIA Portal) and HMI/SCADA development (WinCC).
  • Proven experience with industrial communication protocols and networking (Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Hands-on experience implementing data historian systems and industrial IoT solutions.
  • Knowledge of GMP compliance requirements and validation processes for automated systems.
  • Fluent in English and French.
