The Centre on Regulation in Europe (CERRE) is seeking a Project Officer to join its tech, media, and telecom (TMT) practice. The team is looking for a talented, ambitious, assertive and results-oriented young professional eager to join a Brussels-based independent think tank and play a key part in its ongoing expansion. This role provides an opportunity to deepen your knowledge in these fields and further develop your skills and understanding of the European digital and tech sectors.Your responsibilitiesPlanning and coordinating the delivery of multiple research projects in the TMT sector:Support or lead on the delivery of research activities from proposal to publicationDefine, keep track of project roadmaps to ensure timely deliveryPlan, prepare and run coordination meetings and conference callsFacilitate engagement of members and external stakeholdersEnsure the quality of research reports, proof-reading/editing reportsOrganise and prepare internal meetings with members of the CERRE secretariat and the academic teamKeep abreast of relevant policy developments at the EU and member states levelsPursue contacts and opportunities to expand research activities including new areas of work, new academic colleagues to work with, etc.Contributing to dissemination activities:Collaborate with the Communications team on the planning and execution of research project-related (and other types of) eventsContribute to the drafting of newsletters, alerts, blogs, etc.Plan, prepare and attend meetings with EU policymakers other stakeholdersYour profile3-4 years of experience in (EU) project management/public affairs/research (preferably in TMT)Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent team player, ready to help others, solution-orientedAbility to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders: academics, industry representatives, European and national institutions and policymakersEager to expand knowledge and develop policy experience in new areasExcellent command of written spoken English (other languages always a plus)Very organised, detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines efficientlyWhat we offerPermanent, full-time contractCompetitive packageDynamic, multicultural environmentOpportunities for teleworkCollaboration with leading academics and experts in the tech and digital sectorContribute to bringing forward smarter regulationHow to applyThe position is based in Brussels (Avenue Louise/Bois de la Cambre).
