AI & ML Developer

My Brussels based client is hiring an AI & ML Developer for a long term contract assignment. This is a hybrid working model with 2 days per week in the customer site in Brussels

Tasks and responsibilities of the AI & ML Developer

• Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI/ML solutions in operational environments.
• Implement NLP, LLM, and classic data science projects using Python.
• Optimize and maintain AI/ML models for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable AI solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation for models, processes, and data pipelines.
• Defend and explain AI implementations and design choices confidently in technical discussions.

Required skills and experience of the AI / ML Developer

• Master degree in IT or related field and 9 years of professional experience in IT.
• Strong Python programming skills with hands-on AI/ML experience.
• Proven experience in building operational AI solutions from data ingestion to deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, NLP and LLMs.
• Knowledge of classic data science techniques: regression, classification, clustering, feature engineering.
• Ability to demonstrate practical AI projects in past roles or portfolios.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver quick wins with AI solutions
• Fluent in English, at least at a level B2
