Context: Supporting the inventory of strategic processes as part of Phase 1 of the Digital Transformation

Role :

You will work for the Chief Information Office of Defence, supporting the Business Partners. The Business Partners identify the digitalisation needs of their assigned business departments. As a Business Architect, you will assist the Business Partners and their stakeholders in surfacing and analysing existing high-level business processes, as well as associated structures, data, and information flows.

You are able to translate problems and opportunities into strategic requirements and propose solutions that enable the organisation to achieve its digitalisation objectives.

You are focused on understanding needs and delivering solutions, and you are capable of documenting everything according to professional standards.

Details:

• You are an expert in designing and structuring business architecture (high-level processes of business departments, business capabilities at the departmental level, dependencies between departments, related data and information flows).
• You are an expert in using SPARX Enterprise Architect. You can easily model documents and interviews in SPARX according to best practices, as well as using modelling languages such as ArchiMate and BPMN.
• You have experience across different sectors and types of organisations, and you see rapid adaptation to new environments as an exciting challenge.
• You are ready to apply your extensive experience in an organisation that still has important steps to take in implementing Enterprise Architecture.
• You possess strong analytical skills to analyse complex problems, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions. You can gather and interpret data, perform root cause analysis, and provide insights to support strategic-level decision-making.
• You are able to identify organisational challenges and propose solutions. You can analyse situations, think critically, and develop innovative solutions to meet defined objectives.
• You have an excellent eye for detail, ensuring that your deliverables are accurate and complete.
• You are capable of quickly uncovering needs in complex organisations, analysing and managing them. You are experienced in facilitating requirements workshops and can ensure that needs are well-documented and clearly communicated.
• You have experience in analysing and interpreting data to derive meaningful insights. You are familiar with data analysis techniques and tools to make recommendations and support decision-making.
• You can communicate fluently, clearly, and effectively with stakeholders, understand their needs, and manage expectations.
• You can adapt to changing environments and are capable of continuous learning, in terms of tools, techniques, and methodologies.
• You are able to work effectively within a multilingual team, facilitate discussions, and promote collaboration to achieve objectives. You work closely with others to deliver the expected results.

• Expertise in Business Architecture and business analysis
• Process Modelling Tool (e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect)
• Modelling Languages (BPMN and ArchiMate)
• Confirmed project management experience
• Trilingual Dutch/French/English
