MEMS Characterization Engineer

Please note that working from home is not possible for this position, as the nature of the tasks involved requires being physically present in the office.

Measurement of mechanical properties of MEMS devices via electrical, mechanical and optical methods.

The assignment

As a MEMS characterization engineer, you will support the development of novel MEMS designs in existing technologies and technologies under development, develop new measurement methodologies, build and program setups, and characterize our novel MEMS devices in the electrical, mechanical, optical or acoustical domains.

Required knowledge and skills

• You hold a Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, with relevant experience in characterization (and design) of MEMS.

• Proven experience with Multiphysics measurement methodologies and tools in the:

o Electrical domain (e.g. signal generator, oscilloscope, lock-in amplifier, impedance analyser, network analyser, ...)

o Optical domain (e.g. laser Doppler vibrometer, white light interferometer, digital holographic microscope, ...)

o Mechanical domain (e.g., nano-indenter, microforce prober, ...)

• Proficient in MATLAB and Python, for data analysis as well as multi-tool measurement automation.

• General understanding of microfabrication techniques is an asset.

• The company environment requires a good team player with competent communication and reporting skills. Given the international character of our client, a good knowledge of English is mandatory
