Litho Process Development Engineer


Initial 12 month contract + potential extensions after


Leuven, Belgium (100% onsite)


40 hours/week (early/late shift, working 1 weekend every 4 weeks)



Delivering high quality lithography processes in 300mm fab for private projects of different customers as well as our client’s internal programs, mainly focusing on i-line and KrF lithography techniques, taking into account manufacturability requirements.


What you will do


As a Litho Process Development Engineer you will be a member of the Process efficiency team, part of the Advanced Patterning department. This department is responsible for overall material screening and developing the lithography processes. These screening and development requests are asked by the process integration departments running our client’s CORE programs, Joint Development Projects, internal advanced patterning projects and technology transfer projects.

As a Litho Process Development Engineer you are responsible for:


  • Analyzing and discussing lithography process development requests.
  • Writing process flows to enable litho experiments on complex stacks and also to support other team members for process flow writing
  • Delivering high quality lithography processes for our client’s internal programs as well as customers
  • Working together with the mask design team to generate lithography design rules and data for new test mask design and tape out.
  • Defining and executing process, equipment and material development projects with equipment and material suppliers in cross-functional and cross-company teams.
  • Documenting and transferring the lithography processes to our client’s pilot production line.


Who you are


  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, material science, nano technology, physics or any other relevant field.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing with knowledge of lithography would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of CD and overlay metrology would be highly considered.
