Job Title: Data Brick Solution Architect Contract Type: Contract 9-12months (extensions) Location: Hybrid Start Date: ASAP Role overview A key strategic initiative within the organization is improving enterprise-wide data governance through the EDM program. The IT department supports this strategy with its data platform and the implementation of MDM and data catalog tooling. The Solution Architect will collaborate closely with the Enterprise Architect for data domains, working alongside product managers, product owners, project teams, and IT teams (e.g., IT architects, infrastructure, Middleware teams) to ensure solutions align with architectural standards and frameworks. The Solution Architect is delivery-oriented, ensuring that both intermediate and final states of the solution architecture are well-defined and communicated to stakeholders. This includes proposing solutions and delivering high-level architecture documents and detailed specifications. Key responsibilities Gain a deep understanding of business domains related to data governance, statistics, studies, and microdata management Develop a strong network within the IT department Act as a key team member in project and product teams Provide project managers and product owners with concrete solution architectures Ensure all proposed solutions align with reference architecture and overall business and IT strategy Monitor implementation and address any deviations from proposed solutions Technical expertise required Enterprise Data Management Concepts: Strong understanding of Master Data Management (MDM) patterns and Datamesh architecture Azure Cloud Experience: Hands-on experience with Azure Fabric, Data Factory, Datalake Storage, SQL, and Databricks (Delta Lake framework is a plus) Architecture Frameworks & Tools: Familiarity with Togaf and ArchiMate modeling. Experience with Visual Paradigm is an advantage Solution Architecture: Expertise in designing solutions across data, application, and technology layers, with a clear link to the business layer Technical Knowledge: Broad understanding of application development, integration tools, IT security measures, infrastructure & operations, and cloud technology Project Management: Theoretical knowledge of PMI/PMBOK with practical experience in project methodologies and lifecycle management Documentation Skills: Ability to write clear and detailed technical documentation in English Deliverables System Architecture Documents and corresponding ArchiMate diagrams High-level technical designs and security architectures Skills & competencies Ability to work autonomously and flexibly Strong teamwork and collaboration with enterprise architects, project teams, and business stakeholders Highly organized and proactive with strong problem-solving skills Excellent social and communication skills, including coaching, negotiation, and knowledge sharing Ability to synthesize, present, and influence effectively Language requirements French/Dutch & English: Active knowledge (understanding, speaking, reading) English: Strong written proficiency for technical documentation Education & experience Extensive experience as a Solution Architect (or System Architect under SAFe Agile framework) Minimum of 5 years working in a similar professional environment, ideally within financial and/or public sector organizations Working hours Monday to Friday, standard working hours (7 hours 36 minutes per day) At least 50% on-premises presence required, coordinated with the team as needed
