What are your responsibilities as a Buyer Indirect at DESOTEC?

• Sourcing goods and services:
  You analyze market trends, understand cost structures, and actively seek new suppliers to secure the best purchasing conditions.
• Negotiating agreements:
  You negotiate commercial conditions, including prices, delivery conditions, and contractual agreements within your mandate, always aligning with internal procedures.
• You ensure continuity by establishing strategic agreements, such as service contracts and framework agreements.
• Stakeholder management:
  You collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, organize meetings, and proactively explore alternative solutions.
• Contract management:
  You monitor contract performance using KPIs and act as the primary point of contact for suppliers. Additionally, you coordinate administrative processes to ensure smooth collaboration.

What will your team look like as a Buyer Indirect?

You will be part of a strong European purchasing team consisting of two complementary teams. You will join the commercial team, which focuses on supplier management, negotiations, contracts, and improvement projects, while the operational team is responsible for the daily Purchase-2-Pay flow and monitoring internal procedures. Together, you will ensure an efficient purchasing organization that supports DESOTEC in its international growth.

You will report to the Procurement Manager.

Who are you as a Buyer Indirect at DESOTEC?

• Commercially skilled
  : You have a master's degree (or equivalent through experience) and an affinity for purchasing.
• Experienced professional:
  You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in "Indirect spent"
• Analytical and detail-oriented:
  You work in a structured manner and have strong numerical and planning skills.
• Independent and results-driven:
  You can manage projects autonomously and have experience in negotiations.
• Travel:
  You will occasionally visit suppliers within Belgium or abroad.
• Multilingual communicator:
  You have excellent proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Tech-savvy:
  You are proficient in MS Office and have experience with our new ERP system Dynamics F&O or another ERP system.
