Senior AI Engineer (LLM / Agent Systems)

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help build production-grade AI capabilities for advanced software products in the life sciences / biopharma domain.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining LLM-powered agentic systems. You will work on real-world AI solutions that go far beyond prototypes, enabling complex reasoning, knowledge retrieval, and automation for expert users.

You will collaborate closely with software engineers, product managers, and domain experts in an agile, international environment.

What You Will Do

• Architect and implement RAG-based AI agent workflows for complex, multi-step reasoning tasks
• Build and optimize LLM-powered agents using modern orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangGraph or similar)
• Develop context engineering strategies to improve accuracy, relevance, and robustness
• Integrate AI services with existing platforms via well-designed APIs
• Connect AI systems to databases, vector stores, and cloud infrastructure
• Test, validate, and monitor AI agents to ensure production reliability
• Document system architectures, design decisions, and implementation patterns
• Participate in code reviews and help define AI engineering best practices

Tech Stack

• LLMs: OpenAI, Anthropic Claude
• Programming Language: Python
• Frameworks: FastAPI, Django, LangGraph (or similar)
• Semantic Search / Vector Stores: Elasticsearch, Pinecone (or equivalent)
• Cloud Platforms: AWS and/or Azure
• Databases: PostgreSQL, ClickHouse

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software or AI engineering
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based agents
• Proven experience delivering AI systems into production environments
• Strong Python engineering skills with a pragmatic mindset
• Ability to translate complex business or domain requirements into effective technical solutions

Nice to Have

• Experience with ML fundamentals, model evaluation, or MLOps
• Exposure to life sciences, biotech, or biopharma domains
• Experience working with complex, data-intensive systems
