Within the Finance department, the main responsibility of the Finance Accounting & Reporting team is the production, control, and analysis of external and internal financial reports covering the solo and consolidated scope of our client under IFRS and/or Belgian GAAP. This also includes liquidity and solvency reports.
Mission Description:
Within Finance Accounting & Reporting, the Financial Analysis & Planning (FA&P) team is dedicated to analyzing the consolidated financial performance of our client, including:
Analysis, consolidation, and synthesis of the performance of the company and its subsidiaries;
Financial projections of profitability, solvency, liquidity, and consolidated financing plan;
Stress tests and simulations showing the impacts of various scenarios on these key indicators;
FA&P is responsible for communicating these aspects to the bank's management, regulators, Works Council, rating agencies, the press,…
🚀 Main Responsibilities:
As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be part of the FA&P team and a key contributor to its deliverables. The team currently consists of 3 qualified professionals and the head of the FA&P team.
- Monitor, analyze, interpret, and comment on key financial performance (profitability, solvency, balance sheet, and liquidity) and underlying activity trends for the companies and entities belonging to the company's subgroup (CP) assigned to you;
- Contribute to prospective exercises (budget, multi-year plans, budget stress tests, specific simulations) on the evolution of key financial performance and indicators;
- Contribute to the production of quarterly analytical reports (full and executive versions) on these performances and indicators, showing trends compared to previous years and the budget;
- Establish relationships with CP entities to obtain relevant information on underlying activity trends affecting their financial performance;
- Participate in the annual goodwill impairment testing process and equity method entities;
- Participate in the review of sub-consolidation controls and validation of deliverables produced by the group.
💪 Hard Skills:
- University degree, Master's level (commercial engineer, economics, mathematics, engineer, …)
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting
- Experience in external or internal audit
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and IFRS
- Familiarity with banking regulations, particularly in terms of solvency and liquidity
- Experience in consolidation is a plus
- Ability to challenge and analyze financial figures and produce quality internal and external reports
- Native French or Dutch with a good knowledge of the other language
- Professional skills in English
