Function

The Group Controlling and Investor Relations department supports the top management of the Elia Group as a business partner for the steering, performance management and financial reporting of the Group and its subsidiaries. The division is responsible for group‑wide business planning, the derivation of the financing strategy, the effective controlling of group activities and proactive investor relations management.

As Controller Digital/IT, you will further develop the management model for the digital/IT activities of the entire Elia Group in Belgium and Germany. You will coordinate the planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting of the Digital/IT department. They support the Group CIO, his division and team leaders in achieving their strategic, operational and financial goals with regard to digital transformation. In doing so, you will always strive to further develop processes and methods and to drive digitalisation forward in the controlling area as well. You will work in an international team with colleagues in Brussels and Berlin.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Financial Business Partner to join our Group Controlling team. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the Digital Cluster you are assigned to. This role is critical in providing strategic financial insights and ensuring robust financial management to support our digital transformation.

Tasks

• Track the performance of the Digital Portfolio in terms of resource use, risks and service levels
• Ensure that IT services are allocated and billed within the Group in line and in accordance with regulatory and corporate requirements
• Together with the divisional managers, identify potential for improvement and corrective measures for achieving the company's and divisional goals
• Prepare analyses, reports and recommendations for action for top management and committees as a basis for targeted management
• For effective and agile controlling, develop processes, methods, tools and data management and ensure their implementation
• Work closely with the controlling departments of the Group as well as the Group's own internal Portfolio Management and Operations teams
• Contribute to positioning Group Controlling within the Group as a valued business partner for value creation and strategic focus

Your Profile

• Master's degree in business administration, Finance, business informatics or a comparable field
• At least 5 years of experience in controlling, ideally in the IT/digitization environment
• Very good communication and stakeholder management skills
• High degree of teamwork and initiative
• Strength in analytical thinking and conceptual work
• Affinity for digitization and transformation topics
• Practical experience with SAP and/or with innovative tools and methods of controlling
