Freelance Technical Lead Chatbot Platform: We are supporting a large enterprise organisation that is scaling an existing chatbot platform and is looking for a hands on Technical Lead to take full technical ownership of the solution. This is not a greenfield build and not a project management role. The platform is already live and in use, and the focus is on stabilisation, technical control, and sound architectural decision making within a complex enterprise environment. This role suits a senior engineer who has already acted as a Technical Lead and enjoys bringing structure and clarity to running systems. What you will do - Take full technical ownership of an existing chatbot platform - Act as the single technical reference point for architecture and delivery decisions - Review code and guide technical implementation across contributors - Ensure architectural consistency and quality across the platform - Work hands on when required to unblock or stabilise delivery - Guide and support existing developers without line management responsibility - Reduce delivery risk and bring control to a complex technical setup What we are looking for - Strong engineering background in Java, .NET, or Python - Proven experience acting as a Technical Lead in a large enterprise environment - Real world production experience with chatbot or conversational platforms - Comfortable working in complex corporate IT landscapes - Able to make clear technical decisions and explain trade offs - Hands on mindset with the ability to step into the code when needed Location and setup - Belgium based role - Hybrid working model with onsite presence expected - English speaking environment Why this role - High level of technical ownership and autonomy - Clear mandate and fast decision making - Opportunity to stabilise and shape a business critical platform - Focus on real delivery rather than presentations or process If you are a senior technical leader who enjoys owning real systems and making pragmatic decisions in enterprise environments, we would like to hear from you.
