Intro
A federal administration is looking for an Expert UX/UI Product Designer to join a large-scale digital transformation program. This role goes beyond strategy—it's a hands-on, design-heavy position where you will contribute directly to user research, design system evolution, UI component creation, and digital product development. You will collaborate with top-tier professionals in an agile, multilingual team building mission-critical applications.
Key Requirements
~10+ years of hands-on experience in UX and UI design for large-scale applications (50 screens, 500 users)
~ Expertise in Figma , wireframing, and prototyping
~ Deep experience with Design Thinking , Design Sprints , and Design Ops
~5+ years of experience with:
~(Micro)interaction design
~ Information architecture
~ Design system management
~ HTML, CSS, JavaScript
~ WCAG integration & accessibility
~ Qualitative and quantitative user research
~ Working in large agile delivery teams
~ Familiarity with Angular & TypeScript is a plus
~ Academic degree (Bachelor or Master) from a recognized EU institution (mandatory)

Role & Responsibilities
As UX Designer
Design user-centred digital products focused on usability and accessibility
Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions
Facilitate co-creation and feedback workshops
As UI Designer
Build consistent, intuitive, and elegant interfaces in alignment with existing design systems and brand guidelines
Apply WCAG standards and contribute to component consistency
As UX Architect
Align user needs, product goals, and business requirements into a functional product structure
Deliver complete wireframes and prototypes for complex workflows
As Researcher & Facilitator
Conduct and analyze user research
Lead workshops with stakeholders to define problems and co-create solutions
As Agile Team Member
Actively participate in sprint planning, refinements, retrospectives, and demos
Apply your technical expertise to ensure design feasibility and excellence
Share design knowledge and promote best practices within the team
Work Context
~3 days/week on-site required to maintain team spirit (Brussels, next to South Station)
~ Long-term engagement until end of 2027

~ No pure advisory roles or 100% remote work—this is a deeply engaged, operational role
