Description
About Euroclear Foundation
Euroclear, a leading global financial market infrastructure, has recently launched the Euroclear Foundation—a bold and long‑term investment in social impact across our communities.
We believe that underserved young people thrive when the ecosystems around them are strong, connected, and resourced to deliver lasting change. By strengthening the organisations and systems that shape young people's life chances, we help more of them access education, unlock opportunity and progress into meaningful work.
The Foundation is funded by a substantial annual contribution from the Euroclear Group (1% net profit). We are building a passionate and purposeful team dedicated to designing, launching and managing programmes that create life chances, address community‑level challenges, and catalyse innovative solutions that remove barriers to inclusion. We work to strengthen nonprofit partners, invest in ecosystem change, and foster collaboration across sectors for sustained impact.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Grants Manager to play a pivotal role in delivering the Foundation's mission. This role is responsible for the operational execution of our grantmaking lifecycle—from grant activation and relationship management to monitoring, reporting, and ongoing risk assessment.
As part of the Foundation's inaugural team, you will help shape how we work, build strong and trusted relationships with nonprofit partners, and contribute to a high‑performing, impact‑driven organisation. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Partnerships & Programmes, ensuring that strategic decisions, due diligence and MEL frameworks translate into excellent delivery on the ground.
This is a unique opportunity to join a new corporate foundation with a clear vision, sustained financial commitment, and a strong intent to influence social change at scale.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnership Activation & Grant Delivery
- Manage a portfolio of nonprofit grantees, serving as their primary operational contact.
- Develop and oversee grant activation plans, ensuring alignment with partnership agreements.
- Monitor progress, implementation quality, and milestones against agreed outcomes and the Foundation's MEL framework.
- Facilitate learning loops and ensure insights are shared internally to inform strategy and decision‑making.
2. Nonprofit Identification, Longlisting & Evaluation
- Support the Director of Partnerships & Programmes in identifying and assessing high‑potential nonprofit partners in priority geographies.
- Contribute to longlisting/shortlisting through research, market scanning, and community insights.
- Gather and synthesise data to support partner evaluation and selection.
3. Due Diligence & Ongoing Risk Monitoring
- Support end‑to‑end due diligence across governance, financial health, organisational resilience, safeguarding, and delivery capability.
- Monitor ongoing risks throughout grant implementation using the Foundation's Risk Framework and Due Diligence Policy.
- Ensure partners have clear expectations, risk mitigation support, and smooth operational communication.
4. Reporting, MEL Implementation & Impact Tracking
- Coordinate data collection and reporting from partners in line with the Foundation's MEL framework.
- Track indicators, capture learning, and prepare inputs for board materials and programmatic reviews.
- Help ensure that MEL insights translate into improved delivery and grantee support.
5. Location Engagement & Community Connections
- Coordinate \"support beyond funding\" opportunities — including skills‑based volunteering, mentoring, and leadership support — in collaboration with Euroclear colleagues and the Community Team.
- Build relationships across Euroclear locations to deepen local relevance and strengthen community connections.
Who We're Looking For
You are a proactive, detail‑oriented and relationship‑driven professional who is energised by supporting organisations to achieve meaningful impact. You bring strong operational discipline, empathy in partner engagement, and the ability to translate strategy into high‑quality delivery.
You will bring:
- 3–5 years of experience in grantmaking, partnership management, program management, or a related role (funder or nonprofit).
- Strong relationship‑building and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including the capacity to assess complex information.
- Strong organisational and project‑management skills, with a track record of delivering structured, high‑quality work.
- Ability to work comfortably in English and French.
- Commitment to social impact, with a strong belief in equity, inclusion, and strengthening ecosystems around young people.
- Comfort working in a start‑up environment where systems, processes and programmes are being designed and refined.
Why Join Euroclear Foundation?
- Shape a new foundation's legacy and help build a coherent, impactful grantmaking operation from the ground up.
- Drive impact at a global scale, influencing programmes that create long‑lasting social change.
- Work with inspiring nonprofit leaders and communities across multiple countries.
