Lead AI Engineer (Cloud & Machine Learning) - Contract / Data Analytics

We're partnered with a European industrial research laboratory, which makes up part of a global technology organization, and they're looking for a Lead AI Engineer to join its Data Analytics and Machine Learning team on a 12 month onsite contract, working onsite in Brussels.

This team builds advanced machine learning models, AI technologies, and cloud based services that power multiple business domains across the digital media and entertainment ecosystem.The role suits a hands on technical leader who enjoys designing and delivering production grade AI systems while guiding others.

What you will doLead the definition, design, and evolution of architectures delivering AI, data analytics, and machine learning through scalable cloud servicesDrive improvements in performance, scalability, and robustness of cloud AI platforms, including data pipelines and ML algorithmsContribute directly to the development of AI technologies and cloud servicesEnsure high standards across functionality, performance, reliability, and securitySupport and mentor team members to raise overall technical excellence

What we are looking forMaster's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related scientific fieldProven experience delivering AI and data analytics solutions into real world business useStrong machine learning background, including representation learning and embedding techniquesHands on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworksExperience building and deploying cloud based services on major cloud platformsExcellent software engineering skills with strong Python proficiency

Nice to haveExperience with graph based learning methods and or large language modelsFamiliarity with graph learning or geometric deep learning librariesExperience with tools such as Streamlit, Gradio, or DashStrong technical documentation and reporting skillsExperience with standard development and version control tools
