Private Equity Associate / Senior Associate – Operations & Strategy Focus

A well-established mid-market private equity firm with €2bn+ AUM , investing across business services, industrials, and technology-enabled companies , is expanding its investment team in the Benelux region.

The firm is known for its hands-on value creation model , working closely with portfolio companies on operational improvement, digitalisation, and strategic transformation.

The Role

This is a value-creation oriented investing role , sitting at the intersection of private equity, operations, and strategy . You will be closely involved throughout the full investment lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on post‑investment execution.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting deal teams on commercial, operational, and strategic due diligence
• Working hands‑on with portfolio companies on performance improvement initiatives
• Driving digitalisation and IT‑related projects across portfolio companies
• Translating strategy into executable operational roadmaps
• Monitoring portfolio performance and supporting management teams during transformation phases

Ideal Profile

• Strong background in operations and/or strategy , gained in top‑tier consulting and/or blue‑chip corporates
• Excellent academic track record
• French speaker with excellent command of Dutch (mandatory)
• Strong interest in IT, digital transformation, and data‑driven decision‑making
• Commercial mindset with the ability to work hands‑on in real operating environments
• Prior exposure to private equity, portfolio companies, or transaction environments is a plus, but not essential
