Factry is looking for a Data Engineer to help industrial clients transform raw production data into actionable insights. You'll combine technical curiosity with communication skills to make a visible impact across sectors like food, chemicals, and renewables. Based in Ghent, this hybrid role is ideal for engineers eager to grow in data and client-facing projects.

What will you do?

Projects with impact

• Explore industrial processes (food, chemicals, renewables)
• Build dashboards that enable real decision-making
• Transform client challenges into intelligent data models

Technology + client focus

• Set up and configure our Factry Historian (cloud/on-prem)
• Provide client workshops to demonstrate the value of data
• Collaborate with sales, product, and support teams

Own your projects

• Manage your projects from A to Z
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Help shape our roadmap with field insights

Does this sound like you?

• Master’s degree as bio-engineer, business engineer or similar technical/scientific field
• 3–5 years of experience in a production or data-related environment
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Living in the Ghent region
• Analytical thinker with great communication skills
• Familiar with or eager to learn SQL and scripting (Python, Go)
• Comfortable with or quick to learn Linux and cloud basics
• Able to work with protocols like OPC-UA, MQTT, Modbus
• Driver's license required
