Accounting & Compliance Manager

Robert Half is currently recruiting an Accounting & Compliance Manager to join a dynamic, global company.

Our client is based in Antwerp .

As an Accounting & Compliance Manager , you will oversee the coordination of Statutory Financial Statements across 16 European countries and manage both Internal and External Audit activities in these relevant countries.

Your responsibilities are:

• You oversee statutory financial statements across 16 European countries and ensure compliance and accuracy in adherence to local and US GAAP standards;
• You coordinate internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely completion while managing a compliance calendar and reviewing deliverables;
• You provide support to SOX testing, address requests, and lead remediation actions following audit findings;
• You contribute to statistical reporting and other regulatory filings, driving value and improving accuracy across the accounting function;
• You benchmark effectiveness and continuously work toward enhancing processes and deliverables.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

• You hold an economic degree in finance/accounting or possess equivalent experience in the field;
• You have at least a solid first experience in preferably audit or financial controlling and a good understanding of compliance requirements;
• You exhibit strong communication skills and can ensure stakeholder commitment;
• You bring a proactive, "can-do" attitude and thrive under pressure while meeting strict deadlines;
• You demonstrate analytical capabilities and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
• You are fluent in English, and additional EU languages are a plus.
