Controlling & Reporting Specialist

Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Controlling & Reporting Specialist (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Brussels.

Our client is a fast growing company active in the insurance sector .

Your key responsibilities include:

• Conducting analyses aimed at enhancing and refining the organization's framework for capital management (including factors such as dividend procedures, leverage goals, capital targets, ROI metrics, and portfolio evaluations).
• Supporting the process of evaluating the Group's credit ratings with external agencies by preparing analytics, creating meeting materials, and feeding data into rating models used by credit agencies.
• Observing trends within capital markets and providing insights on potential impacts to the organization.
• Assisting the team occasionally with day-to-day priorities or ad-hoc initiatives related to dividends, capital markets, or transactions tied to M&A activities.
• Developing reports on capital management on a quarterly basis.
• Delivering key contributions for processes within the Group's regular activities, such as MYB, ORSA, recovery planning, regulatory filings, annual reporting, and more.
• Performing diverse analytical work connected to matters of capital management.

The required profile for the Controlling & Reporting Specialist (m/f/x) position:

• A Master's degree in areas such as Business Administration, Economics, Corporate Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field is a must.
• A minimum of one year of professional experience in a financial environment such as an (re)insurance capital management team, a financial institution, or within advisory services focused on financial entities.
• Strong familiarity with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with any experience in Bloomberg or basic programming (e.g., VBA) considered a bonus.
• A foundational understanding of key regulations like Solvency II, IFRS, and the methodologies used by credit rating bodies is required.
• Strong in analytics combined with excellent communication skills.
• A proactive, focused, and enthusiastic mindset aimed at achieving top results in demanding situations.
• A team-oriented attitude with the ability to operate autonomously.
• Proficiency in English at a high level.
• Candidates must hold valid authorization to work in Belgium.
