Business Controller

Robert Half is currently recruiting a Business Controller for a company located in the region of Turnhout.

Our client is fast-growing Belgian subsidiary of a prominent international group specializing in the tourism industry.

As this organization continues to expand, you will play a crucial role in supporting leadership teams and driving financial performance across multiple venues in Belgium.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• You will oversee month-end closings and ensure timely reporting to the group, adhering to strict deadlines.
• You will play a key part in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes by offering guidance and challenging Village Directors to align their budgets with the overall Country strategy.
• You will implement group reporting tools and establish performance indicators across the business units.
• You will lead regular performance reviews alongside the Country Director and Financial Director to identify opportunities for improvement.
• You will develop and maintain operational dashboards and tools to monitor key metrics.
• You will analyze village-level performance to drive profitability and introduce best practices to elevate operational outcomes.
• You will take occasional visits to sites to maintain close relationships with operational teams.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

• You have at least 3 years of experience as a Business Controller in a similar role.
• You bring expertise from a B2C commercial environment, preferably with experience in multi-site structures.
• You are highly proficient with accounting software such as Exact Online or Sage and possess advanced Excel skills .
• You are fluent in English to effectively communicate with cross-border teams.
• You are comfortable traveling occasionally to various village locations.
