Accountant

Robert Half is currently recruiting an Accountant (m/f/x) to join a production company .

Our client is located in Antwerp .

You will play a critical role as part of an international finance team, managing day-to-day accounting tasks, reporting, and tax responsibilities for their entities:

• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company's accounting records;
• Record transactions such as bank statements, salary accounting, journal entries, and expense notes;
• Process payroll journal entries and supervise accounts payable, including supplier payments;
• Prepare and record all month-end transactions and account reconciliations;
• Act as the primary contact for banks, auditors, and government agencies;
• Manage VAT filings and tax compliance;
• Prepare and submit tax returns, while assisting in VAT and tax audits;
• Take charge of month-end reporting and intercompany reconciliations;
• Support annual accounts preparation and audit files;
• Engage in process improvement initiatives and assist in various finance-related projects;
• Provide administrative support, including insurance management and office supplies.

You are an expert in finance and accounting with a proactive mindset, eager to contribute and grow in an international environment:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting and Tax;
• First experience in a similar role, preferably in an international company;
• Strong knowledge of accounting, VAT, and tax processes in an international setting;
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
• Proactive, open-minded, and eager to learn;
• Strong communication skills and an effective team player;
• Resilient, organized, and capable of working on tight deadlines;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus;
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
