Fincons is looking for a DATA ENGINEER
TASKS
• Information Modeling and Data Flow Supervision: Define and oversee the development of both relational and semantic data models, ensuring they align with organizational objectives. Supervise
the design and implementation of data flows to ensure efficient and secure data accessibility and traceability.
• Metadata Management and Data Lineage Oversight: Establish and enforce standards for metadata management and data lineage tracking to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance policies.
• Data Pipeline Design: Coordinate the design and implementation of efficient data pipelines, including Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
• Database Administration: Oversee the integration of both SQL, NoSQL and graph databases, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Cloud Platform Integration: Define strategies for utilizing cloud platforms for data storage, processing, and analytics, focusing on leveraging managed services to enhance security and availability.
• API Design and Integration: Guide the design and integration of APIs to facilitate data access and interoperability between systems.
• Stream Processing: Oversee the implementation of stream processing frameworks to handle real-time data ingestion and processing.
• Programming and Scripting: Supervise the use of programming languages such as Python, SQL, Scala for data manipulation and pipeline development.
• Big Data Technologies: Oversee the implementation of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Snowflake to manage and process large datasets efficiently.
• Data Governance and Quality Frameworks: Develop and enforce data governance policies and data quality frameworks to ensure compliance and data integrity.
• DevOps and CI/CD for Data Workflows: Promote and supervise the application of DevOps practices and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) methodologies to data workflows, ensuring rapid and reliable deployment of data solutions.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
•A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on cloud-based environments and high-security requirements.
•Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate are highly desirable.
•Demonstrated experience in managing data projects that require high agility, innovation, and adaptability to change.
Additional competences
•Knowledge of information architecture principles and standards such as FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and DCAT (Data Catalogue Vocabulary).
•Understanding of data interoperability principles and experience with semantic web technologies to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
•Experience in implementing and managing master data management and governance solutions to ensure consistency and accuracy of key data.
•Familiarity with data protection regulations such as GDPR and data privacy best practices to ensure compliant and secure data handling.
•Proficiency in implementing data versioning, lineage tracking, and auditing mechanisms to maintain data integrity and support governance requirements.
•Understanding of open data principles and experience with linked data technologies to enhance data accessibility and integration.
•Expertise in ontology engineering, semantic reasoning, and knowledge graph development.
