Associate/Director – EU Industrial Policy


Forefront Advisers was established in March 2021 with offices in London and Brussels. As a fast-growing and agile firm, we provide leading political and regulatory intelligence across six core policy areas. We are seeking an experienced and well-networked Associate or Director with deep expertise in EU industrial policy to join our team and support our clients navigating key legislative and regulatory developments across energy, competition, and sustainability. The Role We are looking for a knowledgeable policy expert with a proven track record in EU institutional processes and industrial policy. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Tracking legislative and regulatory developments in EU institutions, particularly in industrial policy, including energy, competition, and sustainability frameworks. Producing timely, high-quality analytical notes and insights for our global client base. Delivering client briefings (in person and online) to inform strategic decision-making. Monitoring political and policy developments in one of the major European capitals (ideally Berlin or Paris) and translating their significance into actionable intelligence. Engaging with stakeholders in Brussels and Member States to build and maintain high-level policy networks. This role is central to one of our flagship products and reports directly to the Managing Director for Industrial Policy. You will join a dynamic, collaborative team that values independence of thought, intellectual rigor, and high standards. You Offer: A deep understanding of the EU policymaking process, ideally with prior experience in EU institutions, national government, or similar policy roles. Subject-matter expertise in industrial policy, with familiarity across energy, competition, and sustainability. A strong network in Brussels and at least one major Member State capital (Berlin or Paris preferred). Outstanding research and writing skills, with the ability to produce insightful, client-ready content. Experience in client-facing roles, including presenting analysis to senior audiences. A proactive, entrepreneurial approach and an ability to work independently while contributing to team success. Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are an asset.
