TRANSPORT MANAGER / OPERATIONS DIRECTOR


Logistics at full potential Currently recruiting for a Transportation Operations Manager for our site in Zellik. This position is responsible for overseeing all activities within the Transport department. Lead and manage a team of 7 transport employees, acting as a strong people leader. Drive financial performance with a solid understanding of P&L management. Previous experience in Transport management within a truck/distribution environment Fluency in English and Dutch, professional in French What you do on a typical day – Transportation Operations Manager Support Human Resource development through appropriate training, development, and succession planning. Responsible for exceeding customer metrics (cost, quality, and responsiveness). Implement and coach Lean warehousing system. Regularly reviews performance expectations with the leadership team, providing expectations, performance planning, feedback, training and development and performance discussions. Support transportation and supply chain solutions. Manages quality system and continuous process improvement within the facility. Supports account receivable follow up process. Work safely as per GXO Health & Safety trainings, standards, procedures and processes and actively contribute to a safer work environment for colleagues and visitors. Bachelor’s degree, e.g., in logistics, engineering, operations management, supply chain management or business administration. experience managing large projects with multiple stakeholders. Drive financial performance with a solid understanding of P&L management. Previous experience in Transport management within a truck/distribution environment. Social climate exposure - added value Strong leadership and change management skills. A transport License, transportvergunning / vakbekwaamheid is preferred but not essential.
