Coating Inspector


Coating Inspector (Level 3) – Antwerp, Belgium (Jan–July 2026)


We are supporting a major offshore wind fabrication programme and are seeking an experienced Coating Inspector (Level 3) to join the team for a site based contract in Antwerp, Belgium, starting mid-January 2026 and running until July 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced coating specialist to contribute to a high profile offshore wind project, working closely with fabrication teams across Europe.


Role: Coating Inspector (Level 3 – ICorr / FROSIO / NACE / BGAS / CSWIP or equivalent)

Location: Antwerp, Belgium

Contract Period: Mid-January 2026 – July 2026

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (hours may vary with fabrication activities)

Travel: Occasional visits to fabrication sites in Poland and the Netherlands


Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting daily coating and surface preparation inspections at the fabrication yard
  • Monitoring environmental conditions, surface preparation processes and coating application compliance
  • Verifying batch certificates, mixing procedures, pot life, storage conditions and traceability
  • Witnessing inspections including surface cleanliness checks, profile measurements, DFT testing and holiday testing
  • Reviewing contractor coating reports, inspection records and QA documentation
  • Maintaining punch lists and supporting the client’s Quality Engineer with escalations
  • Producing clear and accurate weekly inspection reports


Core Requirements

  • Level 3 Coating Inspection qualification: ICorr Level 3 / FROSIO Red / NACE Level 3 / BGAS-CSWIP Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
  • Strong background in coating and surface preparation inspection within offshore fabrication, ideally offshore wind
  • Solid understanding of coating standards including ISO 12944, ISO 8501–8504, DNV-ST-C401, and related industry requirements
  • Experience reading and interpreting ITPs, coating specifications, drawings and technical documents
  • LIMOSA registration and valid GWO BST certificates
  • VCA Basic
  • Fluent in English; additional local language skills are beneficial
