Product Owner

Position: Product Owner – Manufacturing Systems

Location: Belgium (Ghent)

As a Product Owner focused on manufacturing systems, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing digital tools and processes that support production, planning, and warehouse operations. You’ll serve as the key liaison between operational teams and IT, translating business needs into effective technology solutions and driving continuous improvement across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for manufacturing-related applications, integrating both ERP and specialized systems.
• Take ownership of core ERP modules related to production and inventory management, while also supporting complementary platforms such as MES and maintenance systems.
• Collaborate closely with operational stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and oversee implementation efforts.
• Contribute to the architectural planning and lifecycle management of manufacturing applications in coordination with infrastructure and domain experts.
• Engage regularly with site leadership and key users to ensure systems are effectively utilized and aligned with operational goals.
• Lead or support initiatives such as MES deployments, ERP upgrades, and enhancements to planning and scheduling tools.
• Facilitate structured project execution by aligning IT and business teams, challenging assumptions, and ensuring clarity in delivery.

Candidate Profile

• Holds a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline and brings at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing IT or consulting.
• Demonstrates strong expertise in ERP modules related to production and warehouse management, with hands-on experience in full-cycle IT projects.
• Skilled in bridging the gap between business operations and technical teams, with a track record in stakeholder engagement and vendor selection processes.
• Communicates effectively, takes initiative, and thrives in advisory roles with a high degree of ownership.
• Has a keen interest in manufacturing environments and understands how digital tools drive operational efficiency.
• Enjoys working in dynamic settings where innovation and influence are part of the role.
