As Portfolio Manager, Rare Diseases, you are responsible for shaping and executing the strategy of a specialized portfolio, including established brands and several upcoming product launches. You translate insights into impactful brand strategies and work closely with commercial, medical, and market access teams to drive long-term success. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Portfolio Strategy & Brand Management Develop and implement comprehensive annual brand plans that encompass established and upcoming products in the rare disease portfolio. Oversee the operational delivery of marketing campaigns and sales materials, ensuring alignment with sales force objectives. Collaborate closely with the Key Account Manager and Medical Advisor to define customer segments and tailor brand positioning strategies for maximum impact. Make the key account management plan a living document Evaluate market opportunities and prepare for the successful launch of new products while managing existing portfolio strategies. Insights & Stakeholder Engagement Engage regularly with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to gather actionable insights that inform brand and portfolio strategy. Utilize market research, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence to refine promotional strategies and adapt campaigns to meet market demands. Foster strong cross-departmental relationships with sales, medical, market access, public affairs, and regulatory teams to support the successful execution of brand initiatives. Financial & Performance Management Take ownership of product volume and revenue forecasting for both established products and new launches, alongside managing promotional budgets and conducting impact analyses. Maintain financial accountability in executing marketing tactics and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field; advanced marketing/business qualifications are a plus. Proven success in customer-facing roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry. Minimum of 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical marketing or product management. Experience in rare diseases or specialty care is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and market specifics related to rare diseases. Expertise in marketing processes, campaign development and execution, and product lifecycle management. Proficient in data analysis, market research techniques, and performance evaluation. Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strong project management and organizational capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and willingness to travel as needed. Fluency in English; French and Dutch are a plus.
