Function and Responsibilities
The Tooling & Equipment Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a controlled tooling environment that meets both regulatory and manufacturer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and control all tooling and ground support equipment (GSE) in compliance with EASA Part-145, Health & Safety standards, and internal procedures.
Maintain an accurate and traceable tooling and material inventory.
Oversee calibration schedles and ensure valid calibration certificates for all tools.
Ensure Health & Safety compliance of GSE, lifting equipment, and PPE( Personal Protective Equipment) throughout their lifecycle — from purchase to disposal.
Coordinate internal inspections and legal audits with external inspection bodies (e.g. Vinçotte).
Verify compliance with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) requirements (e.g. Boeing) and company MOE (Maintenance Organistaion Exposition) standards.
Manage the Tool & Equipment Store efficiently — monitor stock levels, turnover, and costs.
Handle the technical acceptance of new tools and ensure CE marking compliance.
Collaborate with vendors, logistics, and procurement for calibration, repair, and acquisition processes.
Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Promote a safety-first culture within the maintenance organization.
Profile
Essential Qualifications:
Diploma in logistics, mechanics, or aviation (BTS/DMA or equivalent).
Knowledge of EASA Part-145 tooling and calibration requirements.
Valid airport driving license and forklift license.
Preferred Experience:
At least 3 years' experience in a regulated aircraft maintenance environment (EASA Part-145).
Fluent in English, with good knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
Experience with tooling control systems or maintenance software (e.g. AMOS).
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
