We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow ITOM CMDB Expert to optimize our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with ServiceNow Discovery, ITOM Visibility, and integrating various data sources. This role involves designing and implementing discovery strategies, ensuring data accuracy, and enhancing our IT service management processes. Join us in Brussels with 50% remote work flexibility for a project starting ASAP and ending 31/12/2025 (with potential extension). We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced external consultant to provide expert guidance and hands-on support in optimizing our ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) leveraging ITOM Visibility. Discovery Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the discovery strategy, scope, and data sources to be integrated into the ServiceNow CMDB. Lead the configuration and troubleshooting of ServiceNow Discovery to connect with various on-premises and cloud data sources, including but not limited to Windows and Linux servers Cloud platforms (e.g., Integration Management: Plan and execute the integration of different discovery sources, ensuring efficient and reliable data collection, and design the integration strategy for the CI/CD pipeline. CMDB Data Model Alignment: Ensure the discovered data aligns with the defined CMDB data model and make recommendations for necessary extensions or modifications. Discovery data validation and reconciliation: Develop and implement data reconciliation processes to minimize discrepancies and maintain data accuracy, and ensure the accuracy and reliability of configuration items (CIS) within the CMDB. Implement mechanisms to monitor the health, completeness, and performance of the discovery processes and the resulting CMDB data. Create comprehensive documentation, including discovery source configurations, integration guides, and data validation procedures. Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting ServiceNow Discovery for diverse on-premises and cloud environments Deep understanding of CMDB foundational concepts and data modelling principles Hands-on experience integrating various data sources with ServiceNow Discovery using different methods and protocols Familiarity with scripting languages relevant to CI/CD tools and ServiceNow (e.g., Python, Shell scripting, JavaScript) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Join a leading financial institution and play a pivotal role in transforming our IT operations!
