Senior Accountant Freelance

Our client is an international organization in the Brussels region. They are currently looking for a Freelance Senior Accountant to temporarily support them in managing the accounting for several entities within the group.

Job Description

You will be part of the accounting team and report to the finance manager. Your main responsibilities are:

• You will have A-Z responsibility for the accounting of 2 legal entities;
• You will be responsible for statutory obligations such as preparing the annual accounts and VAT declaration;
• You will be responsible for cash flow monitoring and reporting;
• You will perform the necessary balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses in order to explain the figures;
• You will be responsible for the periodic management reporting;
• You will be supported by an AP accountant and provide the necessary coaching.

Profile

• You have at least 5 years of experience in accounting and a good understanding of the accounting and tax legislation;
• You are proactive, hands-on and have a positive attitude;
• You work independently and support other accountants as needed;
• You are fluent in Dutch/French and English.

• Duration: Minimum 6 months
• Location: Brussels with 2 days of remote work
• Latest start date: ASAP
• Competitive daily rate – to be determined based on experience
